Sygnum Bank Predicts Altcoin Breakout in Q2 2025

Altcoins could see a rally in Q2 2025 as regulatory clarity increases, according to Sygnum Bank’s latest investment projections.

With the second quarter underway, improved regulations, particularly in the United States, are expected to boost investor confidence and drive altcoin adoption, though market forces remain uncertain.

In the U.S., President Donald Trump’s Digital Asset Stockpile and progressing stablecoin regulations are signs of growing governmental support for cryptocurrencies. These policies aim to create a clearer legal framework, reducing the risk and uncertainty that investors face.

Sygnum Bank explains that these changes have not yet been fully accounted for in the market, suggesting a potential price surge for altcoins.

The bank’s Q1 2025 outlook also named regulation as a driver, a show of consistency. However, as Q2 begins, the full impact of these regulatory changes remains uncertain.

The report singles out Toncoin, Sui, Aptos, Sonic, and Berachain as potential outperformers due to their strong user adoption and fundamentals. Base, the Layer-2 network that leads in daily transactions and total value locked, is also noted.

The bank predicts a decline in Bitcoin’s dominance, which recently reached a four-year high, as altcoins gain momentum. Altcoins like XCN and JUP outperformed Bitcoin in February 2025, according to on-chain data.
