SharpLink Adds 143K ETH in a Week, Total Holdings Near 741K
SharpLink Gaming, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBET), one of the world’s largest corporate holders of Ethereum (ETH), has announced a substantial increase in its ETH reserves, bringing total holdings to 740,760 ETH as of Aug. 17, 2025.
The company also reported raising $537 million in net proceeds during the week of August 10–15, fueling its aggressive treasury strategy focused on Ethereum accumulation.
Weekly Acquisition and Capital Raising
The company purchased 143,593 ETH over the period, with an average purchase price of $4,648 per coin. This marked a sharp uptick compared to prior weeks, significantly boosting its reserves from 596,800 ETH on Aug. 10 to 740,800 ETH by Aug. 17.
Capital raising was split between two major avenues:
- $146.5 million from its At-the-Market (ATM) share issuance program.
- $390 million through a registered direct offering, which closed on August 11.
These transactions leave SharpLink with more than $84 million in undeployed cash, earmarked for further ETH acquisitions.
Staking Rewards and Treasury Metrics
In addition to new purchases, SharpLink’s staking program has generated 1,388 ETH in rewards since its June 2 launch.
The company also introduced its ETH Concentration metric, which measures Ethereum holdings relative to its assumed diluted share count. As of Aug. 17, this concentration ratio rose to 3.87, up nearly 94% since June, underscoring the growing per-share exposure to ETH for SharpLink investors.
SharpLink Positioning as a Corporate Ethereum Powerhouse
By embracing ETH as its primary treasury reserve asset, SharpLink continues to align itself with Ethereum’s role as the backbone of decentralized finance and smart contracts.
The company positions its strategy as offering investors direct exposure to Ethereum while maintaining liquidity for its operations in online gaming and sports media technology.

However, management acknowledged that ETH’s volatility, regulatory uncertainty, and shifting market conditions could impact results, noting that under U.S. accounting rules, ETH price fluctuations directly affect earnings reporting.
Still, with its latest capital raise and continued acquisitions, SharpLink is positioning itself as a pioneering corporate Ethereum holder, solidifying both its treasury strategy and its influence in the broader crypto economy.
